12-8-10

Today was a weird day for me. It wasn't boring nor was it fun. This morning, all middle and high school students had to go to the cafeteria. During that meeting we talked about the Christmas performance and how we are going to do the rehearsal. This was a sudden change by Pamela which isn't sudden at all if you have stayed in PAS for a long time. It is a usual routine for Pamela to change the schedule everyday like today. This sometimes gets students angry because they already have another plan for that certain day. For example, for Monday, we will have a rehearsal all the way till seven. I didn't like that idea because Monday are the days that I easily get tired at. Also in addition, I have a lot of homeworks usually from a Monday. There goes another reason why I hate to stay in this school. Like I said before, it is not the teachers that make this school horrible, but it is the schedules and the society that makes this school horrible. Especially when it comes to the "No Speaking Chinese" rule. When Pamela yells at students for not speaking English or for speaking Chinese, no students care. Especially when it comes to the ESL students, they still talk in Chinese the majority of the times in PAS. Seeing that no one is there to stop them, they continue to apply to this even when Pamela gets mad again ( because they know Pamela won't catch them). Today in Mr.Dahl's class, the 9th graders had an argument on the due date of the short stories Mr.Dahl assigned. I believe that it should be due before Christmas so everyone can get things over with first. Christmas holidays, meaning Christmas and the days students have breaks on, should be more relaxing and anti-homework. Instead, the majority of the 9th graders decide to make it due after the holiday. I hate how they just want to work slowly and I bet many of them just wants to procrastinate. The rest of the day went by very fast as if nothing happened. GOOD NIGHT.
