11-30-10
Today was my friend's birthday. Ricky's birthday was quite fun and exciting. We talked about it the whole day and at lunch, we had drinks from 50 Lan. It was quite delicious and we had a fun time at basketball talking about what will happen to his next birthday party. To get this journal a clear hit on how my day went by in a organized way, I woke up feeling really tired today. Since today is Tuesday, I have to hold my skateboard, violin case, and backpack all together. I hate Tuesdays because I always have to hold so many things to school. During math class, I saw my homework record, which is keeping at 100% right now. Math doesn't bother me that much, but English does. Today we had a hard health test in health class with Mr.Rick. We are going to Mc Donalds on Friday for health class, I am so excited. During lunch, we celebrated Ricky's birthday. During basketball, we talked about Ricky's next birthday and other private things. During MUN class, people had to give an oral report being someone famous. Brandon was being Adolf Hitler and had a funny accent. Overall, today was good and fun. GOOD NIGHT.

Today was a normal Monday as usual. Although I was expecting our English class to be continuing the TMDG movie. I would love to watch the movie again on Thursday, because the movie is pretty exciting. The biggest reason on why I want to continue the movie is because of how old the movie is. Since the movie is atleast 75 years old, I am very curious on how movies worked out at that time. I would also want to see the conclusion and how things went different than the book version. In history class, we watched a spy in North Korea take videos on the secret behind North Korea. As Kim Jong Il said that his city is fine, the spy's video clearly shows poverty and a majority of children starving to death. The video also interviewed North Koreans who secretly made to China and are making a living at the place. The video touched my heart, and now I have a burning fire on North Korea. In Expository Writing class with Mr.Joubert, we learned how to write about solutions. It was a great class in which I tried to behave in. Chinese was very boring as no one talked and everyone did their own thing. Nonetheless, I was expecting the intercom to say " Ninth Graders To The Auditorium......RIGHT NOW".
It was obvious that we will have a meeting daily after school. I was late for swimming today, but I swam anyways. I will be the bartender for the sports day, so I was training on how to make the drinks today. It was pretty fun and I loved it. Hope we have many costumers. GOOD NIGHT.

The weekend was boring this week. I bought a lot of things for our sports day. I bought BB guns, pudding, boba, and many other food supplies. Next week will be very boring too, since the 9th graders have to work very hard on a lot things for sports day. Sadly, Jeremy got to work with the 9th graders all day. Why sad, you may ask. Jeremy doesn't really know a lot of 9th graders and he doesn't want to know any. Currently, I am watching CSI: Miami, my favorite CSI series right now. Yesterday, I also watched a great movie called 8 miles. It talks about a gangster's life and his rapping career. It is a true story talking about Eminem ( a famous rapper) and his fight against money in the 90s. I learned that life is hard for a lot of people in this world. This week was also the election for the Governors for Taiwan cities. Three of the cities are blue and two are green. This week was overall very boring. Good Night.

Today's day was excellent and the lunch was as good as I expected. Since today is Thanksgiving day, I thanked everyone on Facebook and to my family. I webcamed with my friends from the state and had fun talking to them. There is one thing that I am still not grateful about and that is the fact that I am in Taiwan. I find that Taiwan has nothing good, everything is bad about the place but it's food. The foods are good here, as anyone can tell. That is if they know how to eat Asian food. I really want to fly back to California just to celebrate Thanksgiving over there. One Thanksgiving day in California can be as happy as all the happy times I had here in Taiwan added up together. It could be more, because the happiness I have here in this crowded island full of mopeds aren't very much. Although there are fewer tax payments and everything seems to be cheaper, I don't believe money is the problem for my family, to tell you the truth. Celebrating Thanksgiving in Taiwan is just not fun and isn't really a grateful day to me. Although the lunch was excellent, it was only excellent compared to the school's greasy lunch. I am grateful of everything but the fact that I'm in Taiwan. I tried telling my mom, but I can't live a life without her. The horrible fact is that she has a business here and she has to live here in Taiwan. I always sigh on the way back home thinking, this isn't my real home, I don't belong here, I'm an American and the society is just not fit for me. I'm not here to criticize the community here, it's great for the truth, but I am not fit for Taiwan. I WANT TO GO BACK TO CALIFORNIA! End of day.....

Today was actually boring. Although it was PD day, I had to go to my mom's office and do nothing but sit there. I did go skating for an hour practicing non-stop, but I was too tired to skate after that. Starting from this morning, I woke up at 5:30 and went to go use the restroom. Since everyone was still asleep, I went back to sleep again till 8:30 when my mom woke me up because she needed to go to her office. Sadly, I had to go with her. Her office is like hell for me because their computers are too old for me to use and nothing good happens there. During the morning at my mom's office, my mom went to a factory somewhere else in Taiwan and she came back bringing a delicious lunch. Lunch was wonderful, it was the only thing I enjoyed today besides skating and playing video games. I went skating after lunch at my other house in Xinzhuang City. We skated for about one hour and then went back to my mom's office. After about two hours of watching funny comedies and the new episode of Southpark, we headed back home to Xinzhu. We ate dinner at Xinzhu at a Tenpanyaki and went back home. At 7:08, I turned on my computer and started typing this journal, and this is my boring day of PD day.

11-23-10
Today was actually a fun day. Today I learned a new trick in skating. I finally mastered my first kickflip which impressed me a lot. Since I have been skating only for half a year only. I also taught some people on how to ride on the board and how to pop the board. Somehow Mr.Lee was gone for today so basketball class was replaced by Mr.Rick, which was pretty fun. I woke up this morning feeling very hungry for some reason. Maybe because my dinner for yesterday was just salad with thousand- island sauce. Since today is like a Friday to me, I was excited when the bell rang to go home. Sadly I was pulled in by Brandon for a 9th grade meeting about sports day. Again, sports day fails to make me excited as I fail to see how the teams are evenly distributed. But I won't complain like a little kid because it is annoying and naive. It was exciting to have Mr.Lex as our MUN teacher for today since Mr.Walhgren left for THIMUN. I wished them good luck on Facebook and told Bill Hsiao to be careful during the trip. During health class, we talked about sex and much more again and for math class, we learned about completing factors.

11-22-10
Today was a a normal day were nothing much has happened. As the beginning of the day started, I went to homeroom as usual and then went to Mr.Dahl's class. During his class, we went through the Holt Reader and corrected our mistakes. We also went through the story, " My Delicate Heart Condition". I finished the story in class but didn't finish the side answers of the story. After English class I went to history class in which I just copied down notes onto my word document on my computer. During lunch I bought some sodas and ate my own lunch. Starting from this week I will be eating non-greasy, delicious food cooked by my mom. Today, I just got a noticed of notification that Jeremy isn't doing well in his Expository Writing class. In which he is getting yelled at by my mom right now. Today at an after school meeting we discussed many good ideas for the sale and things. Our class can't wait for the opening of sports day since our ideas are so exciting to share. After the meeting, my brother, Tiger, and I went to buy some things to eat and my brother and I went home. Today seemed like a casual day with nothing happening to me.

11-21-10
The weekend went by pretty fast this week, as if nothing happened. But in fact, I went and ate lunch with my family members and had tons of great fun. I guess the fun times go by very fast! Today's lunch was wonderful, it was steaks with tons of great appetizers. Besides the great food and the family reunions, I got plenty of time to play my new games, such as Halo Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops. I also have been working hard on my homework this weekend as I am preparing for the second quarter as a great student. I am starting my new changes soon and people will see the changes. Nothing else happened this weekend. It was quite fun, yet short. To be specific, on Friday, I went to school and didn't go to the swimming team practice because I thought Frank told me I could take a break. But I guess I was wrong and I was kicked out of the team. I will try and sneak back to the team on Monday. Friday ended with a few game plays of games. On Saturday, I woke up and played a few rounds of Halo and went to Taipei for my violin lesson and also to see my grandparents. I went home soon after that, back to Hsinchu, and played a few rounds of Halo Reach again. Then I went to do some SAT practice and than played on my PS3 for Cod: Black Ops. Sunday was the most exciting, we went to Taipei again for a family reunion with a cousin of mine from the states. She is a well payed lawyer who turned 30 today and we had a great time. Today was also my sister's birthday and celebrated her birthday with my cousin, Teresa. And now I am back home doing homework and working on this journal.

11-18-10
Today was quite relaxing. Thursdays, throughout the whole weekdays, are my favorite. After four short periods in the morning and wordly wise, I get to go skate with my friends on the sixth floor. We would play the game S.K.A.T.E and have fun doing it. We would also try new things such as new tricks or new grinds. Thursdays are also the days that I enjoy the most from skating. The wind on the sixth floor makes us skating a bit more relaxing. Since Thursdays are the only days that I can skate upstairs, I love Thursdays the most. I like the sixth floor skating not only for the wind, but for the equipments. The sixth floor provides grinding bars and has a huge place for my friends and I to go skating. Nothing much happened today besides skating. Well, nothing else exciting. Today, I was mad at the sports day team because when Choquette said that they evenly distributed the people, it was totally non-sense. I'm not saying that my team has no athletes, but I'm saying that the proportions of the athletes are way off between each team. It is already destined that the yellow team is going to win for sure. They have more than ten athletic people who also have the spirits to play in sports day. Looking at the blue team, my team, we have people that a certainly athletic but doesn't try. When we had the meeting this lunch, most of them went of to discuss about their own things with their friends. This is not fair for the sports day nor is it fair for each team. Since sports day only happens once a year, we should have better distributed teams to make it more enjoyable.

11-17-10
Today was a horror day for me since report card was destined to come today. I only wished my Asian parents would understand my interests and not force me to do things I have no interest in. For example, my parents wanted me to become a lawyer so I can give them plenty of money when they get old. They tell me that being rich and famous is part of enjoying life. As I listened throughout my whole life, I have come to realize that the people out at the night market are more happy with their jobs than a lawyer. Since the people at the night market are doing something they like, they are happy, not for the money, but for their interests. Most Asian parents don't understand this because they grew up in an Asian society where everything is about math, science, history, and literature. They never consider sports or cooking. I have seen popular chefs at a restaurant doing something they like and get plenty of money. I, personally, hate being a lawyer because I don't like literature nor anything with the government. I find that money is not all the case, doing a job you like and getting enough money to make a living is the best solution. But many of the Asian parents believe that kids are naive with what they do and say, so they don't listen to reality and just stay with what they believe in. Another thing that makes me mad about my parents are that they are selfish in many ways, especially my mother. She never talked about getting me a happy life, but ,instead, always talking about money and herself. This might sound like a kid talking about hatred of their parents, but I am mature enough to say that. I do know that my mom loves me, but she is using me in some cases. And I can tell from that because she always talks about my future money and her. I always ask her, "Mom, what about my interest?", she would reply, "Wouldn't giving your parents money and getting plenty of money for yourself make you happy?". This was where I started to think about my future. Not long ago I just found out that my mom is a divorced parent. I have a bigger brother and a bigger sister that I knew my whole life but didn't know that we have different fathers. My family members told me in secret that my mom left his first husband because he failed a business. This made me really my, because true love can't be crashed by money or greed. Finding that my mom only searches for money, my dad and I began to wonder if she really loves my dad at all. This frustrates me, and every single day, my anger grows a little bit more. Although she can be nice sometimes, she is somewhat a devil inside. But, hey, I'm an Asian and what can I say, but only to say that my life will be a disaster if my parents don't start noticing that of my interests.

11-16-10 journal
Today went by really fast. Usually Tuesday's classes go by very fast, I don't know why. I am currently writing in my journal at 9 pm at night. I am also currently working on my history homework and my expository writing class. In the morning, I woke up feeling more tired than usual. I can't explain why, I slept earlier than usual and my daily routine was the same. I guess it is just part of a teenager's life. During first period, which is Algebra 2, Ms.May was actually proud of the whole class for being quite. I skipped a grade for math, and went to Algebra 2 instead of Geometry, so the class is kind of difficult for me. Yet, I noticed that if I concentrate, it becomes very easy. During health class (2nd period), we learned about sex and the reproductive system with Mr.Rick. Although some students found it quite disturbing, I already have a lot of information about sex because of the American society I use to live in. Here, in Taiwan, everyone makes sex very personal, as for Americans, it is more open. Especially in a girl's case, you can easily tell a difference between American and Taiwanese girls. Today, I brought my own lunch because I was getting tired of the same disgusting and greasy lunches. So, today's lunch made my day very happy and satisfying. Third period was basketball class, which went by the fastest since I hate basketball it was very boring. The last period went through fast too, MUN. After school ended, I went to orchestra to practice some songs for the Christmas performance. Today's day was overall a great day. I got no one mad today, no one was mad at me today, everything seemed so peaceful.

First Journal
Today is the first day I start my journal. First of all, this morning I woke up to be afraid that report card was coming. But I found out that it didn't but yet I am still worried. And that is why I am here, in my room righting this journal for extra credit. Today Mr.Dahl introduced his new program, Monday is Holt Reader day! That didn't surprise me, but what did was that Mr.Dahl now keeps our Holt Readers! This opportunity is great because I need the extra credits. I believe that I will be typing on this blog for a real long time. After first period, which is Mr.Dahl's class, I went to History Class, in which Mr.Walhgren taught us about the French Revolution. Surprisingly, today's history class did not bore me. In fact, I was listening to the lecture for the whole period! I bet Mr.Walhgren is proud! Starting from this quarter, I believe I know my mistakes and will start changing from today. Which I am already by writing in this journal. During lunch, I soon lost my appetite seeing, the usual greasy and oily pork fat. I am trying to lose weight right now for you information. During third period, I corrected my first draft of cause and effects today. The class was expository writing class. Benson, from tenth grade was sent to the principle's office today for making Andy Feng mad. This also pissed off our expository writing teacher, Mr.Joubert. Today was the first day I saw Mr.Joubert lose his temper. He is a nice guy, but I can tell he lost his patience with Benson. During fourth period, I learned a few Chinese words in Chinese class. My Chinese isn't that strong so I have to start studying Chinese this year. The class was very boring and went slow as if everything was in slow motion. After school, I had a ninth grade meeting in the auditorium and after that I went skating with my friends. Today, I did my first Ollie 180 which made my day. Thanks to Ethan Chang and Eddie Tsao, I accomplished another trick for today. After that, I went home and started doing math homework. Waiting for the clock to turn seven, when it did, I got to this computer and started writing. Today, my day ends here.
